As the latest closure order thankfully, did not impact dental practices, the team at New Look Dental wants to welcome our patients back.  We understand that you have questions about what to expect upon returning to our dental office. Our aim is to provide answers and information about all our endeavors to provide maximum health and comfort as we provide your complete dental care.

We are carefully following the guidelines recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA) to support you and your family’s safety as follows:

Before Every Work Day

Before every workday, we conduct internal health screenings of our entire team to ensure they are free of COVID-19 symptoms. First, everyone takes their temperature to ensure they don’t have a fever,  second, Dr. Kirakosian asks several health-related questions to validate this.

Before Each Visit

Prior to your appointment, a team member from our dental clinic will reach out to ask you some questions pertaining to your health, such as if you are experiencing any symptoms, or if you have been in direct contact with anyone that is ill. Of course, if you have, we will ask you to reschedule.

Should you arrive earlier than your scheduled appointment, we thank you in advance for waiting outside the office as a measure to reduce the number of patients in our waiting room. Be sure to bring your phone and have your ringer on for when we notify you to come inside.

To minimize unnecessary cleaning, we also prefer that you leave unnecessary personal belongings outside. We will also provide shoe covers and gloves that we ask everyone entering the office to wear for added protection.

As a family dentist, we enjoy seeing and treating our patient’s entire family, however, in keeping with these new measures to minimize the amount of foot traffic inside our office, we request that you not bring any additional people with you. We also ask parents to permit older children to come inside for their appointments alone. Should you need to discuss anything about their dental care, we are happy to discuss this over the phone beforehand.

While it has always been customary to clean and sanitize between patients, we have added more extensive sanitation protocols by using disinfectants known to kill virus that causes COVID-19, as well as repeatedly cleaning clipboards and pens to prepare for our next patient.

During Your Appointment

Please arrive wearing a face mask, and be prepared to have your temperature taken. Next, we appreciate your patience as we follow ADA guidelines and ask you questions that were asked in your pre-appointment call to see if there have been any changes.

High-touch materials like magazines have been removed to further safeguard your health.

We have always worn protective equipment, but, you may observe additional, upgraded face-masks, goggles, plastic face shields, and surgical gowns.

After Your Visit

Please inform us should you notice any COVID-19 symptoms up to two days after your visit to our dentist office. Should this happen, we will require staff members with whom you had contact be tested immediately.

We take all of these precautions very seriously, and uphold them to assure the protection of all of our patients, as well as our public health.

Be sure to schedule your regular dental cleaning and check-up as you depart, because preventive dentistry is your best insurance against a wide range of diseases.
